The Arizona Diamondbacks blasted nine hits and ten runs to take the finale of a three-game set with the San Francisco Giants 10-2.

Buster Posey got the offense going for the San Francisco Giants in the top of the first inning with an RBI single to center field, scoring Angel Pagan and putting the Giants up 1-0.

Arizona responded in the bottom of the third inning when Justin Upton doubled to center field to plate Adam Eaton and Aaron Hill, and putting the Diamondbacks on top 2-1.

Brandon Belt tied things up at 2-2 with an RBI double to right field to score Buster Posey.

Arizona starter Patrick Corbin helped out his own cause with a three-run RBI triple to right field to score Paul Goldschmidt, Cody Ransom, and Gerardo Parra to put the D-backs up 5-2. They added a couple of runs when Aaron Hill doubled to left field to score Patrick Corbin and Adam Eaton to extend Arizona’s lead to 7-2.

Justin Upton added to his big night with a solo home run to left field to add Arizona’s eighth run. Corbin again contributed offensively with an RBI single to center field to score Ryan Wheeler. Parra would score later in the inning on a past ball to add San Francisco’s 10th run of the evening.

Aside from his big night offensively, Corbin provided a great start by allowing two runs off eight hits through eight strong innings pitched.

Ian Kennedy takes the hill for Arizona on Tuesday as the Arizona Diamondbacks open up a three-game series with the San Diego Padres in Phoenix.
