Lars Anderson, the infielder picked up by the D’backs from Cleveland in the Trevor Bauer trade, has been claimed off of the waiver wire by the Chicago White Sox.

Anderson was designated for assignment after the Diamondbacks acquired Martin Prado, Randall Delgado and three prospects from the Atlanta Braves in the Justin Upton trade.

The 25-year-old Anderson hit .250 with nine home runs and 59 RBI’s for Class AAA Pawtucket (Red Sox) and Class AAA Columbus (Indians) last season. In a brief stint with the Red Sox last season, Anderson hit .125 (1 for 8).
