Led by Cody Ross, the Arizona Diamondbacks pounded the Tampa Bay Rays 6-1 on Tuesday night. Just one night removed from the big win, the D-Backs are looking to gain momentum heading into their day off on Thursday.

Ross’s three run home run combined with a two-hit, two-RBI night from Eric Chavez was more than enough to secure Arizona’s 57th win of the season. Wade Miley worked seven solid innings, allowing just one run on five hits while striking out five.

On Thursday night, the Snakes will send Randall Delgado (4-3) to the mound. The young right-hander has won his last three starts and has an ERA of 3.17 on the season. To attempt to put together a win streak, however, the Diamondbacks’ lineup must perform at a high-level. One of their biggest issues of late has been consistently scoring runs and to have any opportunity at a playoff run, they must start winning immediately. Currently, the D-Backs trail the Los Angeles Dodgers by five games for first place in the National League West.

First pitch is at 6:40pm (MST) and 9:40pm (EST).
