Diamondbacks Sign RHP Jeremy Accardo to a Minor League Deal

Along with singing Cody Ransom, the Diamondbacks have also signed right-hander Jeremy Accardo to a minor league deal with an invitation to minor league camp according to multiple reports.

Accardo’s last major league season came in 2012 when he pitched 37.1 innings with a 6.13 era playing for the Blue Jays for twenty-seven games, the Indians for twenty-six games, and the Athletics for one game.

The thirty-three year old is the true definition of a journeyman.
In 2013, he played in the Mexican Winter League, the Venezuelan Winter League, and the Syracuse Chiefs the International League Triple A affiliate of the Nationals.
Last season he appeared in twenty-three games with the Bridgeport Blue Fish, of the Independent League. Accardo appeared in 60 games across 61.1 innings with a 4.40 era, and a 2.11 SO/BB ratio.

This move is simply to add bullpen depth in the minors. Accardo is a native of Phoenix, Arizona.
