Robbie Ray Separates Himself
I had the pleasure of attending today’s spring game between the Diamondbacks and the White Sox, a 6-2 victory for the good guys.
Their was one story line that mattered. It wasn’t another good outing from Randall Delgado, or David Peralta’s two RBI day.
It was the performance of Robbie Ray that got everybody talking. The rotation competition for the final three spots is intense, and great outings quickly separate the contenders from the pretenders.
On Monday afternoon Ray turned in the best start by a Diamondbacks pitcher this spring allowing one run over four innings with six strikeouts.
Ray’s velocity was impressive, and I’m sure this outing will be remembered when it comes time to decide who will get the final three spots.
