Arizona is coming off a series where they took 2 of 3 from the Los Angeles Dodgers. Sitting at 3-3, the Diamondbacks look to continue their momentum on the road against the San Diego Padres.

The Padres sit a half game ahead of the Diamondbacks at 4-3.

The key to this series will be shutting down Matt Kemp and ex-Diamondback Justin Upton. Kemp is leading the Padres in hitting with a .367 average and 11 hits through the first 7 games. Upton is hitting .308 with only 1 home run, but Diamondbacks fans know all to well what he is capable of doing.

A series win against the Padres could have the Diamondbacks sitting pretty in the NL West early in the season.
