De La Rosa will be looking to improve on his season debut against the Giants, where he pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed 6 runs on 8 hits.

He has only faced the Padres one time in his career, getting a no decision in 2011 while with the Dodgers. He pitched well, giving up no runs on only 1 hit to go along with 8 strikeouts and 4 walks.
