Diamondbacks @ Giants Game Notes: Series Victory At Stake

After back to back games of lighting up Giants pitching, it took holding their world series rings to wake up the beast. Chris Heston had gone through the eighth inning only allowing a run that gave San Francisco a 4-1 win and snapped an 8-game winning streak.

Their prime hitters all of a sudden quieted down. Ender Inciarte ended an 8-game hitting streak. Nick Ahmed struck out twice in both of his official at bats. Only Mark Trumbo tried to contribute as much as eh could, going 2-for-4, while David Peralta was the lone run that scored on a home run.

Arizona looks to clinch the four game series today.

Things To Note:

Hellickson has yet to pass the 7th inning this season. Against San Francisco on April 8, he only lasted just over four innings and three runs on nine hits.

Tim Hudson has his best starts against Arizona over the last 10 appearances with a 2.01 ERA

Paul Goldschmidt is the only successor against Hudson with four of his five career hits against him being doubles.
