Pitching Matchup: RHP Gerrit Cole (2-0) vs. RHP Josh Collmenter (1-2)

Josh Collmenter is coming off his best game of the season, throwing a complete game 4-hit shutout against the Giants last Friday. He may need to bring his stuff again today as he duels with a Pittsburgh pitcher who is off to a great start this season.

Gerrit Cole has given up only 3 runs in the past two games over 12 innings. He is 2-0 in those starts.

The Diamondbacks’ offense will need to get to Cole early if they want to get their offense going in this one. Although Collmenter looked great last week, he has a track record of requiring run support to get the win.
