The Arizona Diamondbacks will look to avenge Friday night’s 8-0 shutout loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Arizona will take on Los Angeles in game 2 of the 3-game weekend series between National League West rivals. Last night’s loss extends the Dodgers division lead over the D-Backs to 4 games.
Probable Starters
Jeremy Hellickson (1-3, 5.24 ERA, 16 K) vs Scott Baker (0-1, 3.86 ERA, 6 K)
Hellickson is coming off a tough start against Pittsburgh in his last outing. He only went 4 and 2/3 innings and allowed 4 runs and 7 hits. In his four starts this season, Hellickson has registered one quality start.
Baker is a 10-year veteran and will be making his 2nd start of the season. Due to injuries to a couple of Los Angeles starting pitchers, Baker has been given the opportunity to make a few starts. In his only start in 2015, Baker went 7 innings and gave up 3 runs in a loss to San Diego.

Besides the different starting pitcher, this Diamondbacks lineup features 4 changes. Cliff Pennington and Aaron Hill will take over middle infield duties for tonight’s game. Interestingly, Jordan Pacheco finds his way back into the lineup rather quickly. The outfield carousel continues with Ender Inciarte getting the start.
Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 last night with a double and will look to continue his run-driving ways. Yasmany Tomas is stringing together some hits and currently sports a modest 3-game hitting streak.
First pitch is at 6:10 MST in Los Angeles.
