Derek Norris

Unlike the two, Derek Norris isn’t as much of a familiar face. The 26-year old catcher has spent the majority of his career in the American League with the Oakland Athletics. His break out season came last year and after an impressive first half to year, Norris was named an AL All Star. He’s another of the Padres off season acquisitions.

Norris is off to a tremendous 2015. He’s hitting .310 with 2 home runs and 16 RBI. However, the most dangerous part of Norris game is his ability to get extra base hits. His 11 doubles lead the Padres and ranks among the Top 5 in the MLB.
