It’s Open House to Play Catcher

At least the middle infielders are confirmed of who their competition is. Tuffy Gosewisch and Jordan Pacheco are subject to the rumors the roam all around them. At first the position was Gosewisch’s to lose and then Pacheco has forced Chip Hale to alternate his backstops every couple games. Here are their numbers since May 27.

  • Tuffy Gosewisch- 4/17 (.235), 2 RBI, 2 R
  • Jordan Pacheco- 4/12 (.333), 1 HR, 4 RBI, 2 R

However there have been various rumors going around about Arizona’s intentions to acquire another catcher.

And Peter O’Brien‘s hot start has been very well documented. Well, he just started catching again in Reno. The days may be numbered for either Gosewisch or Pacheco as the featured catcher in Arizona.
