Quite possibly the most intriguing option of all is one of the most prized prospects in the organization, Peter O’Brien. The 24-year old didn’t make the big league club out of camp and was sent to AAA Reno to start the season. O’Brien had spent most of the season in the outfield to dazzle with his power.

However, the quickest way to the majors in the story was to return to catcher. Earlier this week, that’s exactly what O’Brien did. In Reno he’s currently hitting .370 with 8 homers and 27 RBI in 28 games. Sooner or later, O’Brien’s mashing will be impossible to ignore and he’ll be under serious consideration for a promotion.
