A.J. Pollock

After slowing down the week before, Pollock woke up in a big way. One can say that he might’ve embraced the nod that he received at the cleanup spot because Pollock hammered a couple of home runs over the weekend series. Over the past week, Pollock would go onto score 7 times.

It’s easy to score if you can get on base, and during the first game of the doubleheader, Pollock reached base all 6 times. He went 3-for-3 and drew 3 walks. In total, Pollock went 9-for-23 (.391) on the week to up his season batting average to .306. His two homers off San Diego pitching account for two of his three season homers.
