Dbacks Closer: If Not Reed, Then Who?

Now we get to take a deeper look at the organization. Everywhere Barrett has gone he’s been installed as the club’s closer. Whether it’s been in Visalia, Mobile or Reno, the 23-year old seems destined to close out games for a career.

So far in Reno this season, Barrett is 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA and 8 saves. In his career in the minors, Barrett has collected 71 saves and registered a 2.76 ERA. This is more of an experiment, and considering how young the season is, a very distant possibility. Barrett may not even be the first one called up from Reno for an opportunity….
