At this point last week, the Dbacks had hit rock bottom. They were just coming off being swept by the Philadelphia Phillies and were also defeated by the Washington Nationals in a series due to a blown save. What a difference a week makes. Arizona completely dominated to the tune of a 6-1 record.

The Dbacks pulled off a rare four game sweep of the Marlins in Miami. The Dbacks headed back to Chase Field and defeated the streaking Chicago Cubs in 2-of-3 games. Arizona was fueled by the maturation of their rookies, the clutch hitting of their veterans, and the stability of their pitching staff.
