A 5-2 homestand would be mighty good for the Arizona Diamondbacks. they get their chance today as Collmenter gets the ball to face DeGrom and the New York Mets. Collmenter is also to become the first D’backs pitcher this week to go longer than six innings. Perhaps more importantly, a win would get the Snakes back to the .500 mark for the first time since April 24th.

deGrom gets the ball to try and put the Mets back into first place. The 2014 National League Rookie of the Year has been dominant over his last four outings. He has thrown 29 1/3 innings and has allowed only three earned runs. Having deGrom and Harvey paired as a couple of aces makes the Mets formidable.
After today, the D’backs head west for a six game road trip to Los Angeles and San Francisco. The Mets will return home to face the Giants.
