Life on the Farm: Diamondbacks Minor League Weekly Report

Reno Aces, AAA
The Aces stumbled this week to a 1-6 record (25-32 overall). They continue putting up runs, but they also give up a ton as well. This was especially true against the Fresno Grizzlies yesterday when they lost 15-14.
Some of you may recall that Danny Worth, the infielder, pitched two weeks ago. Well, this week, he made a bid to remain a hitter (as if it was ever a possibility that he would pitch full-time) by going 14-28 with 7 runs and 8 RBI.
Remember Cody Ransom? He his two 3-run homers yesterday in that 15-14 barn-burner.
Jake Barrett, who had a real shot to prove he was ready for the call-up when Addison Reed was removed from the closer role faltered giving up 4 runs in a loss to Fresno Saturday.
Peter O’Brien is seeing less and less time at catcher and looks to be making a full-time move to the outfield. He went 7-27 with 9 K’s last week, a down week in comparison to his recent play. Danny Dorn continues to stroke the ball going 9-25 with 7 runs. Nick Evans is also maintaining his hotness going 9-27 with 5 runs, 7 RBI, and a home run.
