He has been by far the D’backs best starting pitcher. Yet, here it is June 12th and Chase Anderson has only one victory to show for it. His ERA is 3.12, the lowest by about two runs compared to the pitchers who have started five or more games. In his last outing June 6th, he labored through 5 2/3 innings giving up one run on eight hits and leaving with a no-decision as Arizona rallied late to beat the New York Mets by a score of 2-1. In the opener against San Francisco, he is opposed by 2014 World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner.
