It was good news, bad news for the Arizona Diamondbacks last night. While they won their fourth consecutive game (recapped here by our own Charles Rahrig V), they did so with a price. Ender Inciarte left the game in the first inning and will now be placed on the 15-day disabled list according to Steve Gilbert at mlb.com.

The injury occurred as Inciarte was attempting to beat out a ball hit in the hole between first and second. Before touching the base, he grabbed the back of his leg and subsequently limped off the field. He was replaced in left field in the bottom of the inning by Cliff Pennington with David Peralta shifting over to right. Manager Chip Hale did not seem to think the strain was serious but did want to exercise caution. As he said after the game, per Gilbert:
"We don’t think it’s really bad. But his legs are so important to us that we want him to be 100 percent coming back. It’s not something we want him to try to push and come back in two or three days."
The D’backs will decide later today who will be called up to take Inciarte’s spot on the roster. Check back with venomstrikes here as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages to see who will join the team tonight in Los Angeles.
