Trying to figure out a bridge to get to closer Brad Ziegler has been a vexing issue for manager Chip Hale. Hudson seems to have stepped into that role. More than just a feel-good story at this point, Huddy appears to have solidified himself has the main setup man in the bullpen. He recorded his first career save after Ziegler saved the first two games of the sweep of the Giants and has pitched in the 7th and 8th innings in his last two appearances, games the D’backs were winning by small margins. We will see if Hale continues to turn to him in big spots.
