2-Yasmany Tomas

A.J. Pollock has slumped a bit as of late. In order for the D’backs to remain one of the better offensive teams, they need some help for Paul Goldschmidt. Despite lower-than-expected power numbers, Tomas has thrived hitting cleanup. He was 4 for 8 in the final two Angels’ games at Chase Field but then suffered a couple of nicks Friday night and missed most of Friday’s and Saturday’s games. He went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts on Sunday. Hopefully, with a day off, Tomas can resume his impressive rookie campaign.
