Ahmed endured a rough series in San Diego, going 1 for 11 with a single run scored. He batted leadoff in the final two games vs. the Padres as sort of a reward for his prior 8 for 21 stretch. He hasn’t fared well vs. the Dodgers in 2015 with six hits in 29 plate appearances including seven strikeouts. Ahmed’s days of hitting in the #1 spot are probably over, particularly with Ender Inciarte due to come off the disabled list this week. He is hitting only .204 at Chase Field.
