Though he has played in only four of the teams’ nine meetings, Puig has made a huge impact. He has eight hits in 18 at-bats with an OBP of .500. Lifetime, Puig is hitting .267 with a .389 OBP vs. the D’backs. He started only one of the three games in Miami this weekend going 0 for 4 with three walks. A callus on his hand forced him to appear only as a pinch-hitter in the first two games, this after earlier missing six weeks of the season with a hamstring injury. A less-than 100% Puig may compromise the Dodgers’ lineup. Then again, LA has owned the D’backs with or without him.
