Diamondbacks Exchange International Bonus Pool Spots With the Phillies

The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired minor league left handed pitcher Josh Taylor, minor league right handed pitcher Chris Oliver from the Phillies along with their 1st international bonus pool slot (#9 overall), for the Diamondbacks 1st intentional bonus slot earlier today.

The Diamondbacks announced the news on their twitter account. The move was first announced by Dbacks G.M. Dave Stewart.

Taylor, 22 had gone 4-5 with a 4.61 ERA and seventy strikeouts in 68.1 innings for the Phillies Single-A affiliate Lakewood in thirteen starts. He is from Peroia, Arizona.

Oliver, 21 went 4-5 with a 4.04 ERA with 1 complete game in thirteen starts across 69.0 innings pitched for Lakewood. He was taken in the 2014 First Year Player Draft by the Phillies out of the University of Arkansas.
