There isn’t much of a book on Martinez as it relates to the D’backs. He has one career appearances against them, hurling seven innings of shutout ball on May 25th. The Cardinals won the game by a score of 3-2. He is 9-3 with a 2.70 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 100 innings. Still only 23, Martinez has already been in a St. Louis uniform for three seasons. He will have a chance to make many more All-Star Games.
