He has been one of my favorite players going back to his time with the New York Yankees. Granderson leads the Mets in home runs with 13 and is second in OBP at .343. He has been New York’s most consistent offensive player all season despite being out of place in the order batting leadoff. Grandy has always been a streaky player and right now it is one of those cold ones. He is batting .172 over his last seven games and went 1 for 12 in the three games in San Francisco. He did walk twice, something he does quite a bit even if his bat is silent. His 13 dingers are excellent for a guy who plays half his games at pitcher-friendly Citi Field.
