Paul Goldschmidt Will Bat Cleanup in the All Star Game

National League and San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy announced the lineup and the starting pitcher for the National League.

Paul Goldschmidt the MVP of the Diamondbacks and the man we love so much will be the starting first basemen and he will bat cleanup for the Senior Circuit.

Here is the full National League lineup:

Goldschmidt will make his 2nd straight All Star Game start, and he will play in his 3rd straight Midsummer Classic. Goldschmidt is the first Diamondbacks player to be selected to 3 straight All Star Games, and he collected the most votes of any Dbacks all star in history with 9,119,375 votes from great Dbacks fans.

Goldy is having a MVP season for a team that is contending for a wild card spot and potentially the National League West division. Goldschmidt is in the top 5 in all of the important offensive categories and leads the National League with RBI’s with 70. He is first in runs scored and walks and he is 3rd in WAR, adjusted OPS+, and he is in the top 3 in slugging percentage, OBP, and OPS.

Its going to be fun to watch Goldschmidt make a difference for the Senior Circuit, and with this lineup I think the N.L. has a great chance to win the game.
