2-Devon White-1998

Arizona’s first All-Star had a tremendous game in the last of his three All-Star appearances. The American League won the contest by a score of 13-8 but White was one of the hitting stars for the Senior Circuit. He tripled in the fifth inning and produced singles in the sixth and eighth frames. He was the only National Leaguer to have three hits during the contest. He was 1 for 3 in his two other All-Star Games giving him a batting average of .500 in the Mid-Summer Classic. 1998 was Devo’s only year with the D’backs and he ended up having a great season with 22 home runs and 85 RBI’s at age 35.
