The starting catcher on Arizona’s 2001 World Series Championship squad, Miller was named to his only All-Star Game the following year. The 2002 game is best known for being the one that ended in a 7-7 tie and ushered in the home field stipulation for the World Series in future games. Miller stroked two doubles in three plate appearances and had the NL ended up winning, could have named been the MVP. His first two-bagger came in the fifth inning when he laced a ball to left field scoring Jimmy Rollins and giving the NL a 5-2 lead. In the seventh, he once again went to left field and later scored the go-ahead run to give his team a 7-6 advantage. He then grounded out in the ninth and was replaced by Benito Santiago in the 10th.
