One of the Giants’ key cogs has been absent most of this season due to forearm and wrist injuries. Pence has made only 92 plate appearances and is hitting .283 with three homers and 20 RBI’s. In the five games since coming off from his second disabled list stint, he has six hits in 21 at-bats with a double, a homer and seven RBI’s. This will be his first action against the D’backs in 2015. For his career, Pence is a .272 hitter with an on-base percentage of .346 vs. the Snakes.
