1-Nick Ahmed

The D’backs’ shortstop has unfortunately reverted back to early season form at the plate. He is hitting .237 over his last 15 games and is mired in a 1 for 21 slump. Manager Chip Hale moved him around the batting order this weekend, having him hit eighth, seventh and leadoff this weekend. None if it seemed to work as Ahmed went 1 for 13. He has some pop with 15 extra base hits and his glove will always keep him in the lineup. However, it is possible that Hale will spell Ahmed this week a couple of times in favor of Cliff Pennington given the amount of right-handed pitching the Snakes will face.
