He begins the week as the starting pitcher in Monday’s game in Washington. Will he be in the rotation at the end of it? With Chase Anderson pitching for the Rookie League D’backs on Sunday and potentially activated during the week, Godley could conceivably be bumped into the bullpen or back to the Minors. If the rookie puts together a third consecutive solid outing, it will be awfully hard to send him to Triple A. This is a team desperate for good starting pitching and Godley, who was at Single A six weeks ago, has given the rotation quite the boost with only three earned runs allowed in 12 innings. At the very least, he would deserve to stay in the ‘pen with the Snakes.
