Some minor waves were made over the weekend when D’backs’ manager Chip Hale pulled Tomas from Saturday’s game for a perceived lack of hustle. The rookie right fielder has hovered above and below .300 for the past week. With Tomas playing more games now than at any point in his time in Cuba, fatigue could start becoming a factor. Still, hitting .295 as a rookie is impressive but he will have his work cut out for him the next four days as he deals with a tough Nats’ rotation.
