After sweeping the Mariners, this team looked like a legitmate threat to contend for the 2nd wild card spot.

At that point they had won 5 in a row, the first time this team had done that since 2011: the year the Snakes won the N.L. West.

However, their going to have to start a new winning streak today against the Nationals after the Dbacks took a step back loosing the final 2 games and the series against the Astros.

As I wrote in today’s morning links, Chip Hale was unhappy about his team’s effort and energy level after Sunday’s loss. That is going to have to change if this team wants to continue to stay in the race.
