David Peralta

Stock Watch: Hot

Last 10 Games: 38 PA, .444 AVG, 16 H, 3 2B, 2 HR, 12 RBI

Since June 23rd (40 games): .364 (52-143), 8 2B, 7 3B, 6 HR, 32 RBI’s

David Peralta is quickly becoming one of the most well liked players on the Diamondbacks for fans and teamates and for good reason.

Peralta is simply in another universe when he is at the plate right now, and has quickly become one of the best hitters in all of baseball.

Those numbers since June 23rd are simply ridiculous, and it just seems like everytime he starts he does something positive, and the rest of baseball is starting to take notice.

Among all N.L. players since June 23rd that have a minimum of 137 plate appearances Peralta ranks 1st in BABIP (.447), 1st in triples (7), 2nd in average (.364), 2nd in OPS (1.075), 2nd in slugging percentage (.643), 5th in on-base percentage (.431), and 3rd in total bases (92).

What’s more remarkable is how well he is hitting lefties this year. Last year he was hitting under .200 against southpaws. This season David is hitting .286 in 43 games.

Not too shabby David, not to shabby at all.
