The Rookie League farm team of the Arizona Diamondbacks has seen quite a few guys from the parent club this month. Add another name to the list as pitcher Archie Bradley began a rehab assignment there last night. William Boor at sent a tweet out informing fans how the D-backs’ rookie right-hander fared:

More from Venom Strikes

Bradley has been on the 15-day disabled list since June 4th with shoulder tendinitis. He was sent to Triple A Reno to begin a rehab assignment on June 24th but complained of stiffness after his outing. Bradley was then seen by Dr. James Andrew for fear that something more serious was wrong with his arm. Thankfully, there was no tearing of any ligaments that would require the dreaded Tommy John surgery.

According to a report at, Arizona general manger Dave Stewart indicated that Bradley could return to the team in September. That would be welcome news to a club that not only envisions him as a big part of the future but also could add a fresh arm to what is sure to be a worn-out pitching staff.
