5-David Holmberg

The Snakes get to face an old friend on Friday. Well, friend might be stretching it a bit as Holmberg pitched in exactly one game for the D-backs in 2013. He came to Arizona in 2010 in the same deal that brought Daniel Hudson to the desert in exchange for Edwin Jackson. In December 2013, the lefty Holmberg was sent to the Reds as part of the package that saw both Heath Bell and Todd Glaesmann make their way West. Holmberg has made four starts for Cincinnati in 2015 with a record of 1-2 and an ERA of 5.95. The overall numbers are a bit deceiving as he was shelled in his previous outing on August 15th, giving up seven runs on five hits and four walks vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers. Other than that, he allowed only two earned runs in each of his other three starts.
