Arizona Diamondbacks: 5 Players to Watch 8/24-8/30

Wow. That’s the only word I could think when describing the streak the All-Star center fielder is on. It would be an upset if Pollock did not win the National League Player of the Week. He has 16 hits in his last 33 at-bats and he single-handily destroyed the Reds going 11 for 15 with four RBI’s and five runs scored in three games. Last week, A.J. reached the number 30 in both doubles and stolen bases. When you project his numbers through the rest of the season, Pollock is on pace for 100 runs scored, 40 doubles, 40 steals and 18 home runs. Those are MVP-type numbers.
