Before Saturday, it was fair to wonder if the All-World first baseman was struggling. Goldschmidt proceeded to bust out in a huge way going 4 for 5 with two home runs and four RBI’s in the 11-7 D-backs’ victory. Though he lost his grip in the batting race falling to second, Goldy is once again leading the National League in RBI’s with 93. However, the team will be without him for a couple of days in the near future, according to Nick Piecoro at azcentral:
Dbacks considered resting Goldschmidt, but with his wife expecting a baby soon, Hale says that'll be a two- or three-day break for him.
