Monday night’s starting pitcher for St. Louis is having his typical, solid campaign. Lynn is 9-8 with an ERA of 2.94 in 23 starts and is seeking to reach the 15 win mark for the fourth consecutive season. All he does is take the ball every fifth day and give his team a chance to win every single game. The big right-hander took the loss in his last start on August 18th. He allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings as the San Francisco Giants emerged victorious by a score of 2-0. He earned a no-decision on May 27th vs. the D-backs, allowing three runs (two earned) in six innings as St. Louis scored twice in the 9th to win 4-3. Lynn is 2-0 with a 2.68 ERA in eight appearances (six starts) against Arizona.
