The veteran was hitting well this month up until he ran into the St. Louis pitching staff. Hill went 2 for 13 in the series with two walks, two RBI’s and a run scored. The fact that he played every game is a combination of getting his bat in the lineup every day and the offensive woes of Nick Ahmed. With lefty Felix Doubront scheduled to throw on Saturday, expect Hill to get into two of the three games this weekend and end August on a strong note.
