A bright light in the D-backs’ disastrous homestand was Peralta, who managed to raise his batting average over the .300 mark again. He had 11 hits in 25 at-bats with a homer, four RBI’s and two runs scored. Over his last 30 games, Peralta is batting .373 with five home runs and 25 RBI’s, numbers strong enough to be considered the National League’s Player of the Month. Expect those numbers to get a nice boost when Arizona plays in Colorado as Peralta is a lifetime .350 hitter vs. the Rockies in 89 plate appearances.
