3-Yasmany Tomas

The grind of a long season is finally starting to take its toll on the Cuban rookie. He made pinch-hitting appearances in the first two games of the Oakland series and went 1 for 5 with three strikeouts in the finale. Tomas has only three hits in his last 22 at-bats. He had 257 plate appearances in his final season in Cuba; with the D-backs he is already at 379. Not everyone that comes off the island can be like Jose Abreu and be hot from start to finish. Tomas has done an excellent job in 2015 and figures to be even better with a complete season of Major League Baseball under his belt.
