As of this writing, it will remain to be seen if the soon-to-be-23-year old Brito will be called up when the rosters expand. He has been a hot name lately because his last two months with Mobile have been outstanding. Brito is hitting .354 in 209 at-bats during the second half of the season with six home runs and 32 RBI’s. Listed as the organization’s #15 prospect according to mlb.com, Brito was selected to participate in this year’s Futures Game. He is listed on the team’s 40-man roster so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he gets the call to the Show.
