Papa Paul re-joined the team over the weekend after missing a couple of days to welcome the birth of his first child. As the D-Backs continue to skid, his chances of being named National League Most Valuable Player have become slim to none. His 97 RBI’s rank second benind Nolan Arenado‘s 105 while his .321 batting average is now fourth behind Bryce Harper, Dee Gordon and Buster Posey. Goldy slumped badly in August, hitting .243 while striking out 36 times, his most by far in any previous month. A dose of the division may be just what he needs as he is hitting .362 against the Giants and .404 vs. the Dodgers.
