The Verdict:
While Burgos is making the most out of his opportunity, the same can’t be said about Webster or Hessler. Although Wesbter wasn’t charged with an earned runs, four runs did come across to score in his lone appearance. Hessler’s futility, even against left handers, is best demonstrated by the fact that his ERA remains over 9.
After getting rocked by the Chicago Cubs in his first start since being called up, Godley performed much better against NL West rival San Francisco Giants. Godley only surrendered three hits and a run over five innings in a victorious effort. Chacin is slated to start on Tuesday against San Diego in his first appearance since his September call up.
