Like O’Brien, starts have been hard to come by for Drury given the depth at the D-backs’ middle infield spots. With Nick Ahmed and Chris Owings playing better as of late, it is hard for him to find playing time. Drury has three hits in 13 Major League at-bats and is searching for his first RBI. He hasn’t started a game since September 5th and has received only two plate appearances since then. Arizona would like to find a balance between winning games and developing young players such as Drury but it’s hard to do when the players in front of him are also early in their Major League careers.
