5-James Shields

The big right-hander will be making his third start at Chase Field in 2015. He is 1-1 but has also given up nine earned runs in 12 innings. Before the season, Shields signed a four-year, $75 million dollar deal with San Diego to be the workhouse of the rotation. In his first year in the National League, he is 11-6 with a 3.90 ERA and will be making his Major League-leading 31st start. Shields is 9th in baseball in strikeouts with 194, however his ERA is at its highest since 2010 it ended the season at 5.18.
