3-Matt Duffy

There are rookies, notably Kris Bryant, Joc Pederson and Carlos Correa that have received much more fanfare but Duffy has more than held his own. Having to fill the shoes of the departed Pablo Sandoval was a big task and Duffy has been up to the challenge. He is batting .301 with ten home runs, 71 RBI’s and an on-base percentage of .340. There is something called the rookie wall where first year players start to slow down after playing so many games. Not Duffy, who is hitting .292 over his last 15 contests with 11 RBI’s. Against Arizona, he has 14 hits in 47 at-bats with a .340 OBP.
